I’m Loghan, a 3rd year Psychology major minoring in Sociology. Originally, I was a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) student, where I first learned about undergraduate research and was engaged with student outreach. I became a research assistant to Dr. Tracy Penny Light during my first year at TRU. Our main focus was investigating how the postpartum period and experience has been shaped by advertising and literature. My current engagement is directly with the Research office, where I’m serving as a Research Ambassador for the second consecutive year, engaging with student outreach and communicating the various research opportunities that exist at TRU. Regardless of what you’re curious about, there is almost always way to approach that curiosity with research. The world of research is a lot bigger than people often assume it is. There are plenty of resources available to address any research questions students might come up with, so think of something you’re curious about and make use of the existing resources around you!
